Vanderlin Dr and Lee Point Rd intersection
A planning study is underway to look at future options to upgrade Vanderlin Drive and Lee Point Road intersection.
Stage 1 consultation
In November 2020, the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics consulted with residents, businesses and commuters about the congestion and safety issues at the Vanderlin Drive and Lee Point Road roundabout.
Stage 2 consultation
Based on feedback received during the stage 1 consultation and a planning study completed by engineering firm SMEC, a preferred concept has been developed to improve safety and congestion at the intersection.
The concept, a 4-way signalised intersection, will deliver the following benefits:
- reduces the overall queue lengths and delays
- improves safety for all users, including pedestrians and cyclists
- caters for future developments
- improves the cyclist network through the intersection.
For more information and to view the concept design, read the stage 2 fact sheet PDF (1.6 MB).
The stage 2 consultation was open for 6 weeks and closed on 20 December 2021.
