Lee Point Road shared path

The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics in conjunction with the City of Darwin are constructing a new shared pedestrian and cycle path along Lee Point Road from Aldenham Road, Muirhead, to the carpark area at Lee Point.

The new shared path will provide a safe pedestrian and bike rider friendly access along Lee Point Road to the recreational facilities at Lee Point and the Casuarina Coastal Reserve.

The project aims to encourage active recreation in the area as part of a healthy lifestyle, and to improve access and safety for nearby residents and visitors to the area.

Works commenced late September 2021, and are expected to take 16 weeks, weather dependent.

Traffic management will be in place during the works, road users may experience temporary lane closure, speed reductions, and short delays in both directions. All efforts will be made to minimise impacts to road users.

Road users and motorists are asked to adhere to all traffic management in the area.
