Karama walkways
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) and the City of Darwin are implementing recommendations from a planning study for pedestrian safety improvements on Vanderlin Drive in Karama.
The study recommended the reopening of the Mistletoe Circuit and Brazil Crescent walkways.
The department will be constructing crossing facilities at the end of the Mistletoe Circuit and Brazil Crescent walkways, assisting residents to cross Vanderlin Drive safely.
The existing path on the western verge will be extended up to Manunda Terrace.
City of Darwin are supportive of the upgrades and will collaborate with the department to deliver the works.
The works are anticipated to be completed in December 2020.
