Free public bus travel
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) is providing free public bus travel in Darwin, Palmerston and Alice Springs from 1 July 2024 for three months.
During this time, residents and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of this free service.
Concession or tap-and-go card holders will not be able to top-up their cards during this time.
Fares will resume from 1 October 2024.
