Territory-wide Logistics Master Plan
The Northern Territory Economic Development Framework has identified the development of a Territory-wide Logistics Master Plan as a priority.
The aim of the Master Plan will aim to maximise the Territory’s economic potential by ensuring our regions are well connected by efficient, safe and reliable logistics networks. Whilst continuing to support Darwin as Northern Australia’s gateway to Asia, we also need to develop logistics hubs for agriculture in Katherine and for mining in Tennant Creek.
Infrastructure priorities have already been identified through the 10 Year Infrastructure Plan. Feedback provided through this consultation process will inform the updating of infrastructure priorities. The Master Plan will therefore focus on integrated logistics and land use planning, regulatory reform, and workforce development to support the major growth sectors identified in the Economic Development Framework.
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics has prepared a discussion paper to inform the development of the Master Plan.

Local industry stakeholders are invited to make a written submission. The department will be accepting written submissions until 31st May 2018 by either of the following:
