Urban Asphalt Program 2020
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics will deliver a program of asphalt surfacing repairs to deteriorating road surfaces and pavements in the Darwin and Palmerston urban area. Works are funded through programs issued by the Australian Government and the Northern Territory Government in an effort to boost infrastructure jobs in the NT as part of the post-COVID 19 economic recovery.
Works will prolong the lifespan of the pavement, reduce the need for a total reconstruction of the road and create a safer driving surface for the travelling public.
