Compulsory safety recall - Takata airbags
In February 2018, the Australian Government announced a compulsory recall of vehicles with defective Takata airbags. These airbags can misdeploy causing death or serious injury.

Commercial Boating Changes in the NT
From 1 July 2018, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority will provide all domestic commercial vessel certificate services.
Works are about to start on the tri-level government funded Barneson Boulevard and Tiger Brennan Drive Stage 3 project with the announcement of the successful tenderer. Local company Territoria Civil has been awarded the project for $45.35 million.
