National Road Safety Week

18 people have lost their lives on Territory Roads this year. On average 48 people, die and over 540 people are seriously injured on our roads each year.

National Road Safety Week starts on 30 April and provides an opportunity for us all to take action.

Police are placing roadside signs across the Territory in the localities where the 125 people lost their lives over the past 3 years (2015-17). These signs not only honour those lives lost but also serve as a reminder for us all to drive so others survive.

Everyone can support the cause by wearing a yellow ribbon, displaying a yellow ribbon on your car, adding a ribbon to you social media profile or making a pledge online.

We all have to work together Towards Zero deaths and injuries on NT roads.
