Hidden Valley Motor Sports House
The Northern Territory Government is investing in world class sport and recreation infrastructure.
The $4.9 million contract for the design and construction of the new Hidden Valley Motor Sports House was awarded to local Territory company, C & R Constructions in October 2018.
Construction of the building is well underway. In-ground services and precast wall panels have been installed, and the ground floor slab poured. Shop drawings for structural steel is nearly complete and fabrication of steelwork has commenced.
Over the next few weeks the first floor slab will be supported and formed, and Stage 1 structural steelwork will be installed. Once the Motor Sports House is complete it will provide a quality venue for local clubs and visitors with facilities including:
- New administration space;
- Training and conference rooms; and
- Viewing deck and function room to cater for up to 200 people.
The new Motor Sports House will complement the range of recent upgrades to the complex including the completion of new broadcast quality lighting to the drag strip track and ongoing hydraulic upgrades.
This project will support approximately 30 local jobs, and is expected to be completed by August 2019.
