Alice Springs Bus Stop Upgrades
The Alice Springs community will soon have 63 Bus Stops with enhanced shelter, seating and accessibility for Asbus passengers.
The Northern Territory Government is committed to continuously improving passenger transport services in Alice Springs.
A $310 000 upgrade project is bringing thirteen bus stops in Alice Springs up to Disability Discrimination Act compliance standard.
Upgrades will see shelter, seating, wheelchair accessibility, tactiles and timetable signage being installed at high passenger volume stops.
Eleven stops have been upgraded. Two further stops are under construction and expected to be completed by December 2018.
Over 15 local jobs have been supported from this project.
