Become a Specialist Member of the Development Consent Authority

Do you want to be part of the changing face of the Northern Territory? Are you passionate about development, the environment, design, architecture and town planning?

Applications for Specialist Members of the Development Consent Authority (DCA) are now open to Territorians who want to contribute to decisions about how their town or city develops.

This could be the role for you if:

  • you have skills, qualifications or experience in town planning or related fields such as:
    • engineering
    • environmental studies
    • architectural design
  • you want to utilise those skills to contribute to your community in a practical and meaningful way
  • you are committed to the continuing growth and development of the Territory.

Specialist Members of the DCA are financially remunerated. Specialist Members are asked to attend meetings to discuss and determine development applications in their Division area.

The appointments will commence on 12 April 2021 and will be for a two year period.
